Outing #1
On August 24th we brought back the Al Knake Memorial Golf Outing after a brief hiatus. 23 teams joined us at the beautiful Westwynd Golf Course in Oakland County.
The course was in excellent condition, and three teams tied with a low score of 54, with one team taking the victory by winning a skin on the course’s hardest hole.
This year’s event featured some fun featured events including additional shots from a pro (and one decidedly not a pro) golfer, as well as the ability to shoot a golf ball bazooka!
A prize raffle, 50/50 and dinner finished off a spectacular event. Stay tuned for details on next year’s event and future Hero Foundation fundraisers. For now, enjoy some photos of the event!
Outings #2 and #3
Holes for Heroes was a first time event at Alpine Country Club on September 7th and we had more than 100 golfers join in a fantastic event. That was followed a week later by the Sigma Pi Theta Rho chapter at Grand Valley’s event on September 15th.
We can’t thank everyone enough for organizing and showing up to support these events. These types of fundraisers are the heartbeat that keep us running!
