Registration for 2018 Kaye’s Kids is always OPEN!

Awesome experiences happen everyday at Camp Ohiyesa.

You are invited to spend 4-days and 3-nights at Camp Ohiyesa, Oakland County’s premier camp for kids!  Your days will be filled with incredible activities that include crafts, ropes courses, swimming in the lake, sliding down the gigantic water slide, camp fire stories and so much MORE!

If you are a child who has a parent with cancer, a child who has lost a parent to cancer, or if you are child suffering from cancer and are interested in partaking in this FREE week, please ask your parents to email Katie Larsen, Chief Executive Hero of The Hero Foundation, for a registration form.  Katie can be reached at or at (248) 840-0238

We appreciate your help in sending children affected by cancer to Kaye’s Kids Camp.  Any and all donation amounts are accepted.  If you would like to sponsor a child, the cost is approximately $500 to do so.  We thank you in advance!

Other donations needed for our camp include (new items only, please):

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Sunscreen
  • Shampoo

  • Combs

Some optional, “nice to have, not need to have” items:

  • Blank journals and pens
  • Tote bags

Kaye’s Kids Camp is in honor of our special friend, Kaye Christie, who lost her battle with cancer in February 2014.  Kaye left behind two wonderful children whom she adored.  This is our way of honoring her life and making the world a better place for her children and others like them.
